Getting to know Ruth Steinberg

Hi there! I'm Ruth. Do you ever feel like you are being pushed and pulled on the current of life, struggling to make it all work? You deserve to live a life that makes you feel excited to face every day-and this can often feel tough. I believe that one of the bravest things you can do is to begin to understand your own story, to see where you have been, as you find new ways to move forward in your life. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have been licensed as a mental health professional for over 30 years, working in various settings. These years of experience have nurtured rich relationships, in which wisdom between my clients and myself was often shared together. I am passionate about helping with various issues-Anxiety, Depression, Grief/Loss, Relationships, Living with Chronic Illness, and Adjustment to Life Transitions. Seeking therapy can be scary, but YOU are worth it! If you want to share your life story with me, let's be in touch and work together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

The most important thing about our work will be the relationship we form, which begins in the first session. This relationship is the basis of our work together. The other vital component is a safe and compassionate space for growth and discovery. YOU will always be the center of our work and direct its course - we will begin where you are and move as you are ready. I hope you will take away coping mechanisms, new realizations and ways of thinking to consider from our sessions, as you set your path forward.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
