Psychotherapist
NJ
Hello, I'm Ruth. I specialize in assisting individuals who may feel trapped in their relationships and lives. My approach revolves around the Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM), which we will use to establish a safe, non-judgmental environment for exploring your past experiences, emotions, and repetitive patterns that may hinder your progress. With gentle guidance and compassion, I aim to enhance your awareness of body sensations, emotions, and thought patterns. Whether you long for deeper connections, face challenges with goals or procrastination, grapple with uncertainties about your wants and needs, or battle depression or anxiety, I am here to support you. Together, we will unravel barriers, identify recurring patterns, and chart a path toward transformative change. Our goal is to break free from limiting patterns and embrace the life you genuinely desire and deserve. I bring therapeutic expertise and a nurturing presence to help you regain personal agency and confidently pursue your aspirations. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the State University of New York, complementing my training in NARM, Psychodynamic Therapy, Strength-Based approaches, Client-Centered therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Insight-Oriented therapy, and Guidance and Counseling. Services are offered through secure video calls. Common challenges I work with include women’s issues, transitions, finding purpose and meaning, loss of motivation, relationship and family issues, depression, anxiety, identity issues, self-esteem, confidence, assertiveness, boundaries, childhood trauma, self-care, work-related issues, pandemic-related languishing, and substance abuse. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two young sons, reading, writing, and hiking in the woods—often spotting hawks and always searching for owls. Great job reaching out. I look forward to working with you :)
