Getting to know Ruya Urso
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering supportive, strength-based therapy to adults and families. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and an M.A. in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Webster University in Irvine, California. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients facing a variety of issues and from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. My experience at College Hospital, a mental health facility, trained me to understand how different mental health issues can be compounded by trauma and substance abuse, as well as prepared me to work with clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges. I have extensive experience with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced various traumas. Among my areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, women’s issues, adolescent concerns, and family problems. I utilize many different treatment modalities and techniques depending on each client’s needs.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
