Hi there, I'm Ryan! I am Ryan Ross, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the States of California and Texas. I began my college education in Louisiana at Grambling State University. After years of traveling as a military dependent, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at California State University, Bakersfield. I have worked with clientele, including adolescents, adults, and incarcerated individuals, providing individual, group, and family therapy. My approach I am skilled in the following modalities; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, Trauma Focused Therapy, Anger Management, and Behavioral Modification. My therapy style is person-centered, strengths-based, and individualized for each client. My specialties include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and other various psychiatric diagnoses, each with mild to severe functional impairments. My focus I would like to work with individuals ages 18 -65 who have sought out treatment to work on improving their quality of life. My communication style I utilize assertive communication, friendly in demeanor, and effective communication and listening skills. My journey to therapy After completing my Bachelor's Degree and speaking with my mentor concerning future career goals, I was tasked with either choosing a career as a lawyer or a therapist, as I have been driven to help others. I soon realized there was a need to assist people within my community and decided to return to school and complete a Masters's degree in Social Work. I am honored to have worked in the mental health field for 7 years. I have received training in CBT, DBT, TFCBT, Anger management, and Seeking Safety, and currently in EMDR. My goals for you To assist a client with returning to stability in their lives with effective coping skills would be considered successful treatment. The goals will always remain client-centered and agreed upon by the therapist and the client.
