Psychotherapist

I believe therapy is most effective when it moves beyond symptom management and into a deeper understanding of who you are. At Deepwell Psychotherapy, I offer a space where you can slow down, explore your inner world, and work through the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and questions around identity, meaning, and purpose. My approach is integrative and depth-oriented, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, ISTDP, mindfulness-based practices, and the Gottman Method for couples. Together, we look not only at what is happening in your life, but also at the underlying emotional and relational patterns shaping your experience. In our work, you can expect a balance of support and challenge. I aim to create a grounded, collaborative environment where you feel safe to be honest, while also being invited into meaningful growth. Therapy is not just about feeling better in the moment—it’s about developing a deeper clarity, resilience, and capacity to engage with your life more fully. For couples, I focus on helping partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and create a stronger sense of emotional connection. Using evidence-based approaches, we work toward understanding each other more clearly and navigating conflict in a way that strengthens rather than erodes the relationship. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in moving toward a more connected, grounded, and meaningful life.

Using evidence-based approaches, we work toward understanding each other more clearly and navigating conflict in a way that strengthens rather than erodes the relationship. What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is collaborative, engaged, and depth-oriented. I won’t just sit back and nod; I’m active in sessions and will help you explore patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be operating outside of your awareness. At the same time, I aim to meet you at your pace, balancing support with gentle challenge so that growth feels meaningful, not overwhelming. Our work will focus not only on current symptoms like anxiety, stress, or relationship conflict, but also on the underlying emotional and relational dynamics that shape those experiences. This often includes exploring past experiences, attachment patterns, and the ways you’ve learned to cope. The goal is to build insight while also helping you experience real, lasting change. For couples, you can expect a structured but flexible approach that focuses on improving communication, increasing emotional safety, and strengthening your connection. We’ll work on slowing down conflict, understanding each other more clearly, and developing practical tools to navigate challenges together. Across all work, I value authenticity, curiosity, and depth. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes—it’s about developing a clearer relationship with yourself and others, so you can move through life with more intention and resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work typically begins with an initial session focused on getting to know you—what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to change or understand more deeply. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, relationships, background, and any patterns you’ve noticed, while also giving you space to share in your own way. Together, we’ll begin to clarify goals and get a sense of what direction feels most helpful. From there, sessions are collaborative and focused on both insight and change. We’ll explore what’s happening in your present life—such as anxiety, stress, or relationship challenges—while also looking at the underlying emotional and relational patterns that may be contributing to those experiences. This can include examining past experiences, attachment dynamics, and how you respond to difficult emotions. In sessions, I take an active and engaged role. I may offer reflections, ask deeper questions, or gently challenge patterns that emerge, all while maintaining a supportive and respectful environment. The pace is tailored to you—some clients want more structure and direct feedback, while others benefit from a more open, exploratory process. For couples, sessions often include learning and practicing new ways of communicating, slowing down conflict, and increasing understanding of each other’s needs and experiences. We focus on building emotional safety, trust, and connection over time. As therapy progresses, we’ll regularly check in on your goals and adjust our approach as needed. The aim is not just short-term relief, but lasting change—helping you develop greater clarity, resilience, and a deeper connection to yourself and your relationships.
