“I’ve seen therapists before but never really felt like I was making progress or that I was too mentally ill to be helped. Meeting with Saba changed all of that! She was so understanding and supportive. Was able to explain things to me in a way I could understand and I actually believe I can get better now. Even before my appt she reached out to discuss things, she even advised me of what to ask my insurance regarding out of network coverage and about super bills! I highly, highly recommend her! Obviously one visit won’t fix me completely but I feel less lonely and scared going forward and trust 100% that she is by my side to assist me in my goals.”

What should a new client know about working with you?

Change is the only constant thing in our lives. Sometimes they can be overwhelming and difficult to manage. How we feel about change is dependent on the situation, but it is important to remember that all changes (good or bad) are an opportunity for growth. Life is all about choices and most often, what makes change overwhelming is that we believe we have limited choices. As a therapist, I want to help you process your thoughts and emotions, identify your choices, and help you grow. I believe positive change is possible for everyone. Our traumas do not define us rather we are defined by how we regulate ourselves after experiencing trauma. At the same time, not all change needs to be a traumatic experience with the right coping skills and tools. If you are ready for self-growth, therapy can be the first step.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I invest my time in developing a relationship with my clients that is built on trust and creating a safe environment that is free of judgment. Think of therapy with me as having a conversation. I implement mindfulness skills, healthy relationships, family communication skills, and self-acceptance depending on what my client is comfortable with. In addition, I consider my client’s cultural background and integrate important aspects into therapy as needed.
