Sally Hamilton, LCSW

Sally Hamilton, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I’m a trauma-informed therapist who helps my clients heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. My practice is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that change is always possible. My approach I provide a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their stories. My approach integrates CBT (connecting thoughts, behaviors, and feelings to identify patterns), mindfulness (learning to become present), somatic awareness, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy (connecting the past with the present). My focus I work with adults navigating trauma, recovery, and life transitions, including those impacted by incarceration, systemic injustice, or difficult past experiences. My communication style Warm, empathetic, nonjudgmental, open, and curious — I listen deeply and meet clients where they are with compassion and respect. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began in a juvenile hall, where I saw youth struggling within broken systems. Later, in reentry work, I witnessed profound healing through community, hope, and love — inspiring me to become a therapist. My goals for you I collaborate with clients to identify what matters most, build practical skills, and explore deeper emotional patterns that support healing and lasting growth. My first session with you The first session is relaxed and conversational. We’ll explore what brings you in and why now, some history, your goals, and what feels most important to you — at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.
