Getting to know Sally Williamson

I have dedicated my career to helping others and truly enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories. I find common ground with nearly everyone I meet. I believe every experience, good or bad, shapes who we are. I am inspired daily by the strength and resiliency of the human spirit and committed to helping clients transform their unique experiences into growth and healing. In my own journey, it took years to find a therapist who was the right fit. I saw how important the therapeutic relationship is and how finding a safe space to explore your true self and confront limiting beliefs is key. My approach is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, acceptance, and authenticity. I understand mental health affects every aspect of life, from work to relationships. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach to help clients build coping skills to navigate life?s stressors. I use mindfulness to guide clients to deeper self-understanding and insight into behaviors and relationship patterns that no longer serve them. I earned my Master?s in Counseling from Webster University and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), dually licensed in North Carolina (LCMHC) and South Carolina (LPC). I use a trauma-informed approach with modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and others. I have worked in community mental health with trauma, interpersonal violence, and addiction, and I am comfortable working with all ages. No two people are identical, and I believe in tailoring treatment for each individual.
