Getting to know Samantha Betz

What does wellness look and feel like to you? The answer to this question is informed by your unique experiences and identities, which deserve to be seen and accepted in therapy. Using a collaborative approach, I offer counseling services that focus on attending to all parts of yourself with compassion, healing from trauma, processing life transitions, and living in alignment with your values. I'm committed to creating a warm, inclusive environment to facilitate healing and exploration of your wellness goals. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a master's degree in counseling from Messiah University, a doctorate degree in occupational therapy, and a bachelor's degree in psychology. I worked at The Joshua School as an occupational therapist for two years before becoming the mental health provider there upon graduating with my counseling degree in 2023. I have experience utilizing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and internal family systems (IFS) to serve clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma recovery. I am passionate about working with LGBTQ+ folks, neurodiverse individuals and their families across the lifespan, and the Latinx community. **I provide therapeutic services only; I do not prescribe medications.**
