Hi, I'm Sam. Are you living with anxiety, depression, a traumatic past, or suicidal thoughts? You are not alone. These things are more common than you might think! The ideal therapy client is someone who shows up with their whole self, who is honest about their imperfections, and has their mind set on making change. But, whatever your starting point, I will meet you where you are, and we will work together to increase your motivation and make progress toward your goals. I am committed to being nonjudgmental, allowing you to feel safe as you confront the challenges you once thought were too big. During our sessions, we will use a cognitive behavioral approach to discover your core beliefs about yourself and the world around you. Together, we will examine the systems that make up your life, understanding how they work together and empowering you to create change. As a Licensed Independent Social Worker with an MSW, I specialize in helping individuals with anxiety, children's mental/behavioral health, adolescent & teen mental/behavioral health, depression, family relationships, PTSD, stress, suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, and trauma. My clients are resilient and brave enough to take the first step, but they need a therapist who is patient, kind, and empathetic to help them restore hope. That is why I entered into this profession. I am honored to be a source of consistency amid uncertainty, and I feel a great sense of satisfaction when a client tells me they have accomplished the unthinkable. Centering our sessions around you and building your motivation to make change are critical components of any therapy session.
