Hi there, I'm Samuel! I’m Sam, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. I provide a thoughtful, depth-oriented approach to therapy that helps clients not only manage anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life stress, but also understand the deeper patterns that may be keeping them stuck. My focus I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and patterns that leave them feeling stuck. I am especially interested in helping clients who want to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and explore the deeper roots of their emotions and behaviors. My approach My approach is primarily psychodynamic, helping you understand the deeper patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape how you think, feel, and respond. Together, we will build insight, work through emotional challenges, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others to create meaningful, lasting change. My communication style My communication style is warm, direct, and thoughtful. I create a space where you can speak openly while also feeling appropriately challenged to look deeper at yourself and your patterns. I listen closely, ask meaningful questions, and offer honest feedback and observations to help you develop greater insight and understanding. My journey to mental healthcare After serving in the Marine Corps, I became interested in how people make sense of difficult experiences and create meaningful change in their lives. That curiosity became a passion for understanding people on a deeper level and led me to counseling, psychodynamic training, and doctoral study in clinical psychology.
