Getting to know Samuel Rosales

I am licensed in Maryland with 10 years of professional experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Andrews University. I have helped clients manage stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, as well as issues related to motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. My experience spans various settings, including inpatient care, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and facilitating both group and individual therapy. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, and I am here to support you throughout that process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Mine is a collaborative approach. Whether it’s getting to know your wants and needs better and learning to communicate them, dealing with paralyzing anxiety or depression, or dealing with loss and facing a trauma, we work together by building awareness, gaining coping skills and applying this new perspective to becoming the person you want to be. Life is an adventure. Through that adventure we will face obstacles, we will have successes and failures, we will feel exhilarated and feel discouraged and like we cannot give any more. Regardless of the things that have happened so far in our adventure, we have a daily opportunity to make choices that will give us control of the direction of our adventure.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Sam is a great listener. He also shares wonderful perspectives and helps me to see situations from new angles.
I felt like my voice was heard and there was a focus on the concrete steps that could be taken to address my concerns in a direct and easy to understand way. I did not know what to think going into the experience but I definitely felt much more reassured afterwards than I did going into it.
Samuel is such a kind and caring person, and I appreciate how he is able to listen to my issues and give me clear and actionable solutions to change my thinking and improve my ability to cope on my own.
I wish I could select more than just the two options I could. I have several disabilities on top of my mental health and he's been kind, understanding, and empathetic, all while challenging my negative self talk and helping me rewire the parts of my brain that need some help. He's always professional and courteous, punctual and well-spoken. I would recommend him to anyone who's also had poor experience elsewhere.
In just one visit I can tell he is the right fit for me! Very empathetic, great listener, easy to talk too, clear communicator and warm. I’m excited to work with him more. Definitely recommend for grief, anxiety and depression.
