I believe we are all doing our best to navigate life’s complexities. I work with people to help them gain agency, empowerment, and freedom. My patients find new ways of feeling about themselves and their relationships. In our work together, you will increase your awareness, understanding, and acceptance of your patterns, history, and self. It is important to understand who you are, what you’ve been through, and where you’re coming from. Therapy is a process that can’t be rushed. For change to last, it has to come from within. The same symptoms in different people may have vastly different origins. How could I help you if I don’t take the time to get to know you? I will honor the uniqueness of your journey. We’ll create a space where all parts of you are welcomed, where you can feel heard without judgment, seen without feeling too much or not enough. We will understand the root of what’s troubling you and find ways to live a more intentional, authentic, and meaningful life. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, childhood trauma and complex PTSD, self-doubt, low self-esteem, or shame. I help those dealing with loss and grief, identity issues, problematic sexual behavior, life-work balance, transitions, or cultural adjustment. I also work with people seeking more meaning and direction. I provide therapy in English and Spanish. I became a therapist after over a decade in business, helping corporations understand their customers. I appreciated that part of my life, but I feel honored to be trusted by my patients and privileged to be part of their journey. Witnessing their courage and transformation reaffirms my hope in human resilience. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. I completed a Fellowship in Psychoanalysis and earned a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy.
