Psychotherapist

Hi, I'm Saoirse Linder! I'm an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #148745) practicing under the supervision of Charlotte Haigh, LMFT at Knownfully Holistic Therapy in Los Angeles. I have always been a deeply curious person — drawn to people, their stories, their patterns, and the emotions they carry but don't always speak aloud. Growing up between Ireland and London, and doing human rights and conflict resolution work in places like Rwanda, deepened my curiosity around psychology, culture, and what it means to feel truly seen. I work with individuals such as new moms, men and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the profound identity shift that comes with becoming a parent. I have a special focus on perinatal mental health, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the matrescence journey — as well as men's identity and self-worth. My approach is warm, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed, drawing on psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, and Gottman Method principles. It is an honor to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with themselves, heal old wounds, and build the lives and relationships they truly want.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Every client is different, so my process is always tailored to you — but here's what you can generally expect. Our first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brings you in, a bit about your history, and what you're hoping to get from therapy. Just as importantly, it's a chance for you to get a feel for me and whether this feels like the right fit. There's no pressure to share everything at once. From there we'll develop a sense of what we're working toward together and I'll begin to get a fuller picture of your story — your relationships, your patterns, the experiences that have shaped you. Early sessions tend to focus on building trust and laying a strong foundation before we go deeper. As we get into the work, sessions are collaborative and conversational. I may offer reflections, ask questions that invite you to look at things from a new angle, or introduce specific tools depending on what you need — whether that's EMDR for trauma processing, Gottman-based skills for relationship challenges, or somatic awareness practices to help you reconnect with your body. Progress in therapy isn't always linear and I'll never rush you. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more understood, more resourced, and closer to the life you want to be living.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting therapy is a big step and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible from the moment we meet. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded — I believe the relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of meaningful change, so building a space where you feel genuinely safe and understood is always my first priority. I work from a psychodynamic and attachment-focused lens, which means we'll often look at how your past experiences and relational patterns are showing up in your life today. I also draw on EMDR for trauma work and Gottman Method principles for couples. Sessions feel like a real conversation — I'm not a blank wall. I'm present, engaged, and will gently challenge you when it feels right. You don't need to have everything figured out before you come in. Whether you're in a specific moment of crisis or just know something needs to shift, we'll find our way together. I especially love working with new and expecting mothers, couples navigating big life transitions, and anyone doing the deeper work of understanding themselves more fully. I look forward to meeting you.
