What should a new client know about working with you?

I understand that life can bring a unique set of challenges—from managing daily life stressors and navigating relationships to coping with anxiety and depression. These experiences can feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to figure out who you are and where you're headed. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what’s weighing on you, gain insight into your thoughts and emotions, and build practical tools to help you move forward. Together, we can work toward creating a more balanced, confident, and connected version of yourself. My communication style is professional, but also down-to-earth and relatable. I want therapy to feel more like a conversation with a supportive, trusted guide—not an interrogation. I believe in creating a space where you can be yourself without pressure or judgment. While I take your concerns seriously, I also bring warmth, humor, and authenticity into our sessions to help you feel more comfortable and at ease. Therapy can be tough, but you don’t have to go through it alone—I'm here to be the listening ear and steady voice of support you might not always get elsewhere. My journey to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker was shaped by both personal and collective challenges. I pursued my education during the height of the pandemic, balancing the demands of graduate school with the uncertainty, isolation, and life stressors that so many of us were facing at the time. That experience deepened my empathy and reinforced my commitment to this work. My “why” has always been clear: to provide meaningful, accessible therapy to individuals who look like me and come from familiar backgrounds. Representation matters, and I’m passionate about breaking the stigma that still surrounds mental health—especially in communities where seeking support hasn’t always felt safe or accepted. I became a therapist to be a part of that change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My communication style is professional, but also down-to-earth and relatable. I want therapy to feel more like a conversation with a supportive, trusted guide—not an interrogation. I believe in creating a space where you can be yourself without pressure or judgment. While I take your concerns seriously, I also bring warmth, humor, and authenticity into our sessions to help you feel more comfortable and at ease. Therapy can be tough, but you don’t have to go through it alone—I'm here to be the listening ear and steady voice of support you might not always get elsewhere. Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a connection. It’s an opportunity for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and see if we’re a good fit for this journey together. There’s no pressure to dive into everything all at once—therapy is a process, and there’s no rush. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, with the goal of creating a safe and supportive space from the very beginning.
