Sara Ford, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from East Carolina University. I am passionate about supporting all of my clients through challenges to experience healing and growth in their lives. My approach is client-centered. I will meet you with empathy, support, open-mindedness, and unconditional positive regard. Together, we can work to better understand and process what you are going through. I typically work with individuals who have experienced trauma and those struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and narcissistic abuse. I create a welcoming, warm, respectful, and supportive environment for my clients. I knew I wanted to be a mental health counselor as early as age 14. I have always wanted to help individuals going through difficult times. I am passionate about what I do and find meaning and purpose in my work. What drives me is supporting those who want to make changes in their lives and reach their full potential. During your sessions, we will develop an action plan designed to motivate and guide you toward your goals. We will set both short- and long-term goals. During your first session with me, you can expect a warm welcome and a smile. The first session involves establishing rapport and getting comfortable with one another. I will ask questions to get to know your history, and we will discuss what brought you to therapy.
