Getting to know Sarah Berger

Hello! I am licensed clinical social worker, LICSW who is a dedicated and compassionate therapist committed to supporting you on your path to emotional well-being and personal growth. I've had the privilege of guiding individuals through their various challenges for over two decades, helping each client discover their inner strength and resilience to manage symptoms or overcome life transitions and difficulties. I have worked with people of all ages ranging from children to the elderly, with more focus devoted to people in late teens to mid-life stages. I current reside and am licensed in Tennessee with additional licensure in Minnesota, Florida, and North Dakota.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session will consist of us getting to know each other, I like to introduce myself and my experience to help you determine if I will be a good fit for you. We will discuss limitations of telehealth services and backup plan if internet or computer issues occur. I would like to then learn more about you: your current symptoms and functioning, prior treatment and what has been helpful, your hobbies and support system. We will discuss safety and create a safety plan together if needed. I hope our first session brings you hope and comfort in knowing we will work together to overcome your symptoms and improve your quality of life. I like to send educational information and worksheets that may be helpful after our sessions to better understand and practice skills we discussed.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Sarah gets me ready to transition into a new phase out if an obsession. All just totally change ny thinking over food. Sarah you are amazing and I Love You!
Sarah is everything! I hope she sees this! She is such a great therapist! So very supportive & helpful and there for me! I've brought up all my traumas, struggles, and insecurities with her and she has not been scandalized by even one. She has been wholly supportive as i navigate my identify with her over these last six months. I plan to meet with her as long as possible. She is warm and so friendly. We always start off with her asking how I'm doing and that is so valuable to me. Then we talk thru the recent issues of the week and then thru past traumas that are current issues which are affecting me. Ive told her how valuable she is to me and I'm sure I should tell her that more often! She is the best. My time with her is among my favorite times of the week and her care is and practice is incredible!
