Sarah Brown, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I’m Sarah Brown, a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly two decades of front-line experience in mental health, addiction, and trauma recovery. I offer steady, compassionate support for teens, young adults, and survivors of exploitation and abuse. My approach My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in real-world experience. Whether I’m working with you one on one, leading a group, consulting on systems-level change, or walking with a survivor through the long arc of healing, I show up with the kind of steady presence you want. I am an expert in the field, but you are the expert on you and I look forward to walking with you on this journey, respecting your autonomy while encouraging you to grow. My focus My ideal client is navigating a life transition, often carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, addiction, or the chaos of adolescence and young adulthood. Whether they're 14 or 44, they’re looking for clarity, coping tools, and a space to be real without judgment. I support them by combining evidence-based approaches with direct, compassionate guidance. Together, we work toward resilience, insight, and practical change. My communication style My clinical communication style is supportive but no-nonsense. I offer a grounded space where you can be honest, even about the hard stuff, and still feel respected. I’ll challenge you when needed, ask direct questions, and hold you accountable because growth doesn’t come from comfort alone. You’ll always know I’m in your corner, but I won’t co-sign the things that are keeping you stuck. My journey to mental healthcare I’m a third-generation mental health professional, and becoming a counselor felt like both a calling and a legacy. My grandmother, who was my hero, was one of the first psychologists on the Board of Psychology in North Texas. She earned her doctorate in the 1940s and inspired me with her passion for people and commitment to the field.
