Sarah Harris, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello! My name is Sarah Harris and I am a Licensed professional counselor. I specialize in helping clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I utilize a combination of humanistic and faith-based interventions to support clients. My approach I utilize a combination of humanistic and faith-based interventions along with CBT, DBT, and CPT. My focus I work with adults and adolescents struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, and loss, as well as those experiencing life transitions. My communication style I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen and heard. My hope is that clients feel validated during sessions while being therapeutically challenged to heal and grow. My journey to mental healthcare I started my journey towards becoming a therapist in 2018. While completing my undergraduate degree, I worked as a banker. During this time, I realized that I was passionate about discussing people's emotions, thoughts, and experiences in life. From there, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and my Masters Degree in Counseling and Development at Texas Woman's University. During my practicum, I worked with teens struggling with suicidal ideation, self-harm urges, and depression. After receiving my master's Degree, I worked with individuals, couples, and families in outpatient therapy. In the last two years, I have gained experience in treating acute eating disorders at higher levels of care including inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization. My goals for you I believe that goals should always be set by the client. It is important that clients feel that I am walking alongside my clients rather than directing their therapeutic journey for them. I support clients in setting short-term and long-term goals for sessions, as well as creating a personalized treatment plan.
