Sarah Lane, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I work with clients struggling with unhealthy coping skills and dysfunctional survival traits that have developed as adaptations to deeper issues. My areas of expertise include personality disorders, codependency, trauma, OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, and eating disorders. The trauma populations I serve include, but are not limited to, sexual trauma, military trauma, spiritual trauma, emotional, physical, neglect, and abandonment. I also enjoy working with children on a variety of issues, including anxiety, adjustment, and behavioral disorders. I hold an MEd in Counseling and Development from Hardin-Simmons University. I am trained in many types of therapy, primarily utilizing EMDR and Mindfulness. Additionally, I offer services such as the Gottman Method, play therapy for children, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed yoga. If someone is in a situation they cannot resolve on their own and is willing to reach out, I am happy to meet and discuss treatment options. I am also glad to refer clients to appropriate levels of care or other specialists when necessary. My goal is to provide the best care tailored to each individual.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have 8 years of experience as a counselor in the mental health field. I have 2 licensures, including professional counselor and addiction counselor. I am trained in several different treatment interventions and modalities. I am also a certified yoga therapist and instructor.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.

Don’t see your insurance?

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $200 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $150 for 60 minutes
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

I accept Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ambetter, Cigna, Medicare Part B, Traditional Medicaid, Baylor Scott and White, Magellan, Tricare East and United Health Care. I bill insurance and take copays the day of session. My process in the beginning is to confirm coverage and give a good faith estimate to new patients so they know the cost of services, their copay and their deductible. Being up front and honest about the cost of services is important as I base my practice on honesty and integrity. I am open to any questions and will work with my patients financially.
