Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, I'm Sarah. Does it ever feel like your thoughts and emotions have a life of their own? Are you unsure what's wrong exactly, but you know this isn't the life you want to live? Have you encountered the cage of anxiety, the dark pit of depression, and/or the wall of awful that feels impossible to climb over? I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Alliance University and specialize in anxiety, depression, and adult ADHD. I have built a toolbox of skills and questions to help you break out of the cage, climb out of the pit, and build handholds in that wall. Through CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, we will walk together to help you build the skills and habits you need to reflect, identify, question, and ultimately choose your response to your internal and external experiences in healthy, helpful, intentional ways. Change is hard. Really hard. I say this not to discourage you, but to be honest and upfront. If you're ready to put in the work to change, then I want to help you achieve that change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

First sessions are a bit different as we need to verbally make sure we're on the same page about expectations, policies, and procedures and we're getting to know each other a bit, but the goal of each session is ultimately to help you reflect and identify a thought, emotion, action, or barrier that is inhibiting your ability to progress forward. Once identified, we then work to question, challenge, or manage those barriers in another way to reduce their impact. I will assign "homework" frequently, as the bulk of change occurs outside of sessions, but please know that I try to tailor them to easily fit your lifestyle, be fully collaborative, and be in line with the overarching changes and goals you wish to pursue.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
