Hi there, I'm Sarah! Do you feel as though you simply cannot stay afloat? Do you have difficulties managing emotional distress due to trauma? Are you struggling to keep up with all of your relationships while trying to balance being a *new* mom? Look no further, I'm here to help! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with approximately 10 years of community mental health experience. I graduated from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise in 2012 with my Bachelors degree in Psychology and obtained my Masters degree from Radford University in 2014. I’m certified by the Virginia Board of Counseling to supervise Residents in Counseling and provide individual and/or group supervision. As a trauma-focused therapist, I'm here to help you manage distress, increase coping and relaxation skills, and process your individualized experiences in a safe place. I am also trained in perinatal mental health, so that I can better help you navigate your unique path throughout pregnancy and postpartum - whether that be perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (postpartum depression) or adjusting to parenthood. More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
