Sarah Murdock, LCSW

Sarah Murdock, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NC
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in the social work field since 2018, and I earned my LCSW in 2023. Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively with children and families, including several years providing play therapy, which has shaped my ability to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for clients of all ages. I also have strong experience working with teens and adults who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based, meaning I meet you where you are and focus on building on what’s already working in your life. I integrate evidence-based practices such as CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to help you develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and move toward your goals. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and tailored to your unique needs. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported, while also helping you challenge unhelpful patterns and build confidence in your ability to handle life’s challenges. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being with my dog, and relaxing at the lake during the summer.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
