Sarah Stromwall, LPCC

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Sarah Stromwall, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Master's in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I specialize in working with youth and adults who have experienced trauma or are facing challenges in everyday life. I strive to provide a compassionate, safe, and encouraging space to work alongside you to become all that you were created to be. I believe that together we will learn healthy responses, establish healthy boundaries, gain insight, untangle unhealthy thought and behavior patterns, and develop skills to help you and/or your child cope with life's challenges and face them with confidence. My approach I am trained in the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) Levels 1 and 2, a mind-body approach that helps you understand the biology of traumatic stress reactions and the automatic survival responses of the human body when encountering perceived threats or dangerous situations. This model assists you in learning skills to build resiliency and restore balance to the mind and body. Additionally, I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment for adolescents impacted by trauma. My focus I have experience working with youth, families, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, interpersonal challenges, and trauma-related conditions. My communication style I strive to create an encouraging, warm, and safe environment to walk alongside clients as they face their unique challenges.
