Psychotherapist

Starting therapy is a positive step in your search to attain the life you desire and deserve. I work with individuals with anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as those needing help to navigate life transitions and challenges. I take a client-centered approach to meet your unique needs and goals in a safe, non-judgmental, empathic environment. My focus If you have been struggling with depression and feeling unmotivated, having anxious thoughts and self-doubt, needing to work on self-esteem issues, wanting support and guidance to work through trauma, or just feel stuck with no clear direction, I will help you build strategies and coping skills so you can have agency to get your life back on track. My communication style I prioritize having a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening while exploring not only your symptoms but also the root cause of your distress. I will adjust my communication style based on your needs, whether that involves a more supportive, collaborative approach or one that is more directive. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been interested in therapy, the issues that people struggle with, and how best to help them, but I didn't start my career as a therapist until I had retired from law enforcement after a successful 25-year career. That experience was invaluable and has definitely been an asset in my journey from one helping profession to another. My goals for you Together, you and I will identify and set goals that matter to you and help you gain insight and tools needed for change. As this occurs, your goals and expectations will likely evolve based on your progress and degree of healing. The ultimate goal is self-empowerment by resolving or eradicating the issues that originally led you to therapy.
