I am a registered Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in public schools, working in both elementary classrooms and high school guidance and counseling settings, including roles as a counselor and Director/Supervisor. I earned my Master’s in Counseling and School Administration from Montclair State University and hold a Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University. My career has been dedicated to serving students and families from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. My school experiences have allowed me to support families facing a wide variety of needs and circumstances. During my master’s program, my fieldwork included placements in a high school counseling office and a college admissions office.
My philosophy centers on providing a safe and caring environment where individuals feel comfortable sharing what they need to express. I use a variety of techniques and approaches to help clients build confidence in who they are, enabling them to experience happiness and a sense of control in their lives. Developing self-esteem and confidence is a cornerstone of success. I am a firm believer in mindfulness and self-care as essential components of treating the whole person. Through methods such as Behavior Therapy, solution-focused therapy, and humanistic or client-centered therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to help them reach their goals.
Outside of my professional work, I continue to serve in the public school system. In my free time, I am active in my church and enjoy spending time outdoors, especially camping and hiking. I have also coached youth baseball and basketball for many years and cherish time with my wife and children.
