Getting to know Selma Rodriguez-Freijo
I have worked as a therapist for over 8 years, serving in both private practice and community mental health settings. I graduated with my master's degree in social work from Florida International University in 2016, and I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Throughout my career, I have worked with many diverse populations, including individuals who have been incarcerated and those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and an array of life phase challenges.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a therapist, I am passionate about empowering individuals, helping individuals heal and transform by providing a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe that everyone has the capacity for personal growth and transformation, and my experience as a therapist has taught me the importance of collaboration in the therapeutic process to help uncover inner resources and strengths to overcome challenges and achieve goals.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
