Getting to know Shai Hamilton

Welcome!! I get it!! Some days life can feel overwhelming for various reasons, and you may need someone to talk to. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Salem State University, I provide you with a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where you can talk through some of those feelings and emotions. My goal is to help you figure out how to live your best life. I have over 20 years of experience as a social worker working with adults facing various issues, including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, and relationship challenges, just to name a few. I use a therapeutic approach centered on your needs and goals. I provide an environment that enables you to be comfortable so you can have an open conversation. I am here for you! Through many years of practice, I have found that everyone is unique, and so are their needs. Therefore, the way I conduct my sessions is centered around you and what works best for you. I get it-some days you don't want to talk about certain things or get ?too deep.? I meet you where you are. Life is a journey, and I look forward to joining you on yours, going at your pace.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In the first session, this is the time we get to know each other. One of the most important things for me in working with people is developing a trusting therapeutic relationship. I will gather important information about you that will give me a better idea of what brings you to therapy and what you would like to work on. Then we can start setting some goals on the things you would like to accomplish in the future sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
