Getting to know Shan Croft

Hi, my name is Shan Croft. Are you looking for a therapist you can dialogue with who provides a comfortable and safe environment to authentically express yourself? Then look no further. I strive to create a professional and therapeutic space that allows for effective dialectical exchange. I am a licensed therapist in Georgia with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Valdosta State University. I have worked with clients facing a multitude of presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, relationship challenges, career difficulties, and other life obstacles. My diverse background includes experience in inpatient settings, outpatient sectors, schools, military bases, and remote work. My therapy style is collaborative, direct, supportive, and solution-focused. My goal is to help clients connect with and reframe thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be barriers to a satisfying life. I believe in treating all individuals with respect, sensitivity, and empathy. I will customize our dialogue to meet your specific therapeutic needs. If and when you are ready to take the next step toward promoting your healing, I am here to support and encourage you on your therapy journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After the first session you will have identified some therapy goals that will the focal points that help to guide subsequent sessions. You will be able to identify the connection between your identified therapeutic goals and the current challenges that you face. You should be mildly equipped with some ideas that can help you start to take action towards realigning yourself with your initial challenges.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
