My approach is person-centered, humanistic, and incorporates CBT techniques. My focus includes stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, intimacy-related concerns, low self-esteem, low or depressed mood, and emotional dysregulation. In my communication style, I strive to make clients feel comfortable. I am open, accepting, genuine, and straightforward. I am not perfect, so there is no need for clients to perform, speak with perfect grammar, or convey their thoughts flawlessly. My journey to mental healthcare began through therapy itself. I had always wanted to be a therapist but lacked faith in myself to achieve that goal. Before therapy, I believed there were limits to what I could accomplish. Therapy opened my eyes to new ways of thinking and an infinite number of choices—not just for me, but for everyone who becomes aware of them. Therapy changed my life in many wonderful ways, and I feel privileged to pay it forward. My goal is to empower those I work with to determine what they want to focus on in sessions. I am here to support them in reaching their goals. In our first session, we will cover legal topics, including limits of confidentiality and your rights; discuss your history with mental health care; address any questions about the process; and explore your background to better understand your needs.
