Shannon Faucheux, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, this is Shannon. I'm passionate about mental health and helping others not just survive, but thrive. Although I've been a licensed therapist for over 13 years, life experiences as a mom to three boys, a military spouse, and a Military Veteran myself have helped evolve and shape me into the therapist I am today. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Tulane University, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical practice. Throughout the therapeutic process, I interweave and focus on key lifestyle factors that may contribute to a client's current emotional state, such as diet and nutrition, movement, sleep, and spirituality. In addition to active listening and providing a non-judgmental atmosphere, I offer tools and techniques to help manage the problem(s) or symptoms. The issues I most often work with relate to increased stress, including trauma responses, that lead to symptoms of anxiety, debilitating anxiety, depression, physical aches and pains, self-confidence issues, substance misuse, relationship and occupational problems, and safety concerns. My approach to therapy and use of interventions is discussed with each client and tailored to their individual needs. Compassion, a natural ability to help people feel at ease, and my personal experience of working through my own issues in therapy are strengths that help me cultivate a positive therapeutic experience for clients.
