“Shant is the homie. We talk about movies, comedy, mma, and skateboarding. He helps me vocalize healthy goals that have been sitting in my head for months/years, set up a plan and timeline, manage expectations, and execute. Someone you can just shoot the breeze with or get deep, philosophical, and sometimes religious with. I always feel seen and heard. 10 out of 10 human being.”

Getting to know Shant Bardakjian

My name is Shant Bardakjian and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Glendale, California. I currently work with adults within the greater Los Angeles area. Currently, I work with clients aged 18 to 64. I am a brainspotting Phase 1 trained therapist, who works with trauma, depression, and anxiety. My approach to therapy is tailored to the client’s needs. I enter into therapy with whatever you bring into the session. If you need a creative approach to solve your problems, then I would use an eclectic approach with a person centered lens that can be flexible for whatever need is brought into the room. My communication style is calm and approachable. I would like my clients to feel at ease in sharing whatever is on their heart without fear of judgment. I decided to become a therapist because I have wanted to help people discover their best selves. I have been drawn to helping people discover their innate ability to heal past whatever is keeping them stuck in life. My aim is for whoever works with me to be able to define a goal that can be accomplished and for trust to be gradually built within the therapeutic relationship. In this way, the progress that is seen in therapy will in turn translate to improvements in multiple areas of your life. In our first session together, you can expect the primary focus to be for me to hear your story of what brought you to therapy. The first session is to determine if there is an initial connection and also questions that would enable me to better understand what would work best for you as treatment progresses.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I’d like to share that Mr. Shant has been very helpful. He had recommended me books to help me with my current situation, really listens and gives very encouraging advice and kindness with his directive help. Even if it was direct I will take it so I can understand so it can help me with myself. I am Grateful for Mr. Shant for being my therapist and I think I have a couple of months with this program? Or a year? I forgot but when the time is over I know I will learn many great things, tips, advice and many things I have a good sense that I will be better and happier with myself for what I am going through and to keep it going. I can’t think of any other therapist to talk to because he shows that he is helping and suggesting Great tools for me to help. Which I’m waiting for my books he suggested to me and they arrived tomorrow and I truly can’t wait. And to learn many tools, insight on what he can help me with. So far I feel the sessions have been very helpful, I have been benefiting and learning and understanding a lot of informative words and looking forward to next sessions because I am grateful for what I learning and what I need for my mental health. Give him a high five or some points however it’s works.
Shant Bardakjian is an excellent, skilled, empathetic, warm and powerful therapist- I feel genuinely lucky to be able to work with a clinician of such high quality.
