We will work together to challenge your thought patterns, promote self-care, and provide validation. My communication style I practice open and honest communication with all my clients, and I expect the same in return. We need this communication style in therapy to get to the root of any problem or concern. I am an active listener. My journey to mental healthcare My grandparents were influential in my decision to become a therapist. I witnessed the support they received and wondered about the lack of support for others. For over 10 years, I have worked with patients with chronic illnesses. The stress experienced by patients, family, and caregivers when managing health and/or mental health issues can be overwhelming. My goals for you We will collaborate to set your goals in therapy. When goals change, we will modify the treatment plan to fit your needs. My first session with you Our first session will be for us to get to know each other. It will not be just a question and answer, but a chance for me to learn more about you and your background. I take this opportunity to learn how your past has shaped who you are and how that may be beneficial or detrimental to your mental well-being.
