Getting to know Sharon Carroll

Sharon Carroll, “Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.” – Mandy Hale I work with individuals and couples to help them make the changes they seek, including relieving anxiety, depression, or grief; reducing stress; and overcoming or re-engineering difficult relationships. My approach varies depending on each client's needs and style. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Houston Christian University, providing a strong foundation to support my clients effectively. My theoretical approaches include person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples, the Gottman Method, and the Grief Recovery Method. I work with a wide range of clients, including women and men individually and as couples, from older teenagers (minimum age 17) to older adults. My focus areas are relationships, grief and loss, life transitions, stress relief, and mild to moderate depression or anxiety. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can share, explore, and heal. I want to get to know you, help clarify your counseling goals, and collaborate to heal hurts, reveal strengths, and find a more meaningful life. I tailor my approach to meet your needs and what resonates with you to reach your unique goals. My first career was in business. When I chose a change, I sought a meaningful career that makes a difference. My greatest joy is helping clients work through relationship difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, and build resilience for future challenges. Goal setting is collaborative. Together, we'll explore what brought you to counseling and what you'd like to achieve.
