I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland. I began my practice in Child Welfare with Maryland's state government and later advanced to the federal government with Veterans Affairs. When not offering therapy, I enjoy walking meditations along Maryland's historical trails. My approach I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, focusing on changing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through active client participation and positivity. This includes coping skills, techniques, and homework to facilitate change. I also use Supportive Therapy and Mindfulness Meditations with a focus on the present. My focus I work with adults from various backgrounds struggling with issues including Anxiety, Depression, Trauma/PTSD, and Relationship challenges. Clients who do well often have past trauma and want to positively change their thoughts and feelings to alter behavior and find relief. My communication style My style is warm, relaxed, and interactive, creating an engaging environment. It’s important clients feel comfortable to fully engage and grow into their best selves, focusing on their present situation. My journey to mental healthcare My desire to help others struggling with mental health become their best selves inspired my journey to becoming a therapist. It’s a pleasure to see clients achieve positive results despite challenges. My goals for you I focus on collaborating with clients to find solutions to their problems.
