Getting to know Sharon Rhodes

In our sessions together, I will meet you with caring and compassion and set goals which you will achieve as we progress. Some humor is often injected to help you become more comfortable and relaxed as you share. Research has proven that humor helps each of us reduce anxiety and depression. I don't tell jokes because I can't remember them. I work with adults of all ages, 18 and up. My years of experience enable me to understand and connect with each client regardless of the adult developmental stage you are experiencing. My love is doing couples counseling, in which communication is a primary component. I will teach you skills and new ways to connect with each other through healthy communication. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from San Diego State University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session helps us determine whether we can work together in a productive way. My style is collaborative and client-centered. The session will be the beginning of developing trust and honesty in our relationship, which is critical to being able to share information. especially with a stranger. I am non-judgmental. and not critical. accepting of all issues voiced by you. Together, we develop a comfortable and calm environment in which to work.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
