The most precious gift you can give yourself is a little bit of your own attention. Life can get so busy, and it's easy to become distracted by daily tasks, causing you to lose sight of the most important person in your life... YOU! You are the most important project you will ever work on, and I am so glad that you are here. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary's College of California and bring over 22 years of experience in the mental health field. I am passionate about working with clients from diverse backgrounds and life paths, serving a wide range of ages from children and adolescents to adults. My experience includes supporting individuals with various mental health diagnoses. It has been a blessing to work as a School Counselor for more than 22 years, which has provided me with a wealth of experience across many areas and with clients who have diverse needs. I strive to meet my clients where they are and am deeply committed to helping them achieve their goals. I particularly enjoy assisting clients in managing transitions, trauma, depression, grief, adjustment, anxiety, and parenting challenges. Additionally, I am passionate about working with First Responders and their families. Being part of a First Responder family for over 27 years has given me valuable insight, compassion, and a strong commitment to serve this unique population.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In the first session, we will generally ease into things; getting to know one another and sharing relevant information, background, etc. Also, this will serve as a time for us to get some extensive details about family/medical history, and what issues at hand brought you into therapy. We will create a treatment plan, including frequency, of therapy going forward. We will develop goals together and work to ensure that the tools and coping skills needed to meet those goals are acquired.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
