Hi, I’m Shawn. I help people who feel overwhelmed by their emotions-whether it’s anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, or just the constant mental noise that won’t quiet down. My approach is grounded, practical, and based in evidence-based strategies that actually work. I've found many people come to therapy trying to deal with the clutter in their head, either by scrolling on their phones or distracting themselves in some way. I'm good at helping my clients get to the root cause of what's causing their distress and take steps to resolving their distress. My approach I focus on helping you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected-especially during times of stress or emotional overwhelm. I use structured, evidence-based strategies like the Unified Protocol (a cognitive behavioral treatment) to help you recognize unhelpful patterns such as avoidance, overthinking, or emotional shutdown. In our work together, we’ll slow down and make space for your emotions rather than pushing them away or getting stuck in them. We’ll look at the deeper beliefs or past experiences that may be shaping your reactions today, and I’ll guide you in building skills to manage difficult emotions, set boundaries, and respond in ways that reflect your values. Sessions are active and goal-oriented, with room for both insight and real-life practice. I want therapy to feel like a space where you’re not just heard-but also equipped to create meaningful change. My focus I work with adults who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change, or disconnected from themselves or others.
