Hi there, I'm Sheila! Hello, I'm Sheila Campbell, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's in Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University, an EdD from Argosy University, and a Master's from Luther Rice College & Seminary. I believe everyone is on a journey of recovery. People can change if they truly want to, especially when given a safe, non-judgmental space. My approach I utilize CBT, reality therapy, spirituality, client-centered, and a holistic approach to address clients' needs. My focus I work with diverse clients facing anxiety, relationship issues, confidence and self-esteem concerns, depression, and substance or alcohol abuse/misuse. My communication style My style adapts to the situation but always comes from genuine concern and care. People often find my voice comforting. I am direct and straightforward, using humor, analogies, and metaphors to illustrate points and emphasize key ideas. My journey to mental healthcare I began as a Recreation Therapist in a psychiatric hospital, naturally drawn to engaging with clients beyond planned activities. This led me to Counseling. I enjoy working with clients and witnessing their journey toward greater confidence, improved mental and emotional health, and better understanding of boundaries as their self-esteem grows. My goals for you When setting goals, I start by asking what clients want to achieve. After assessment, I provide input on potential challenges, helping create a realistic and effective plan. My first session with you Clients should expect some questions and possible anxiety as they get to know me and determine if they feel connected. I work to build rapport, make them comfortable, and show that I am here to help.
