What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is a collaborative and supportive process. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to share openly and be yourself. Therapy is a partnership—you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to offer guidance, perspective, and practical tools as we work together toward your goals. I take a client-centered and relational approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Our work is tailored to your needs, values, and pace, balancing emotional insight with skills that support regulation, communication, and meaningful change. I work with individuals, couples, families, and children navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. You can expect sessions to be thoughtful, structured, and compassionate, with regular check-ins to ensure therapy feels helpful and aligned with what you’re hoping to gain. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and more connected to yourself and others. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about building understanding, resilience, and confidence so you can navigate challenges with greater clarity and ease.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My work with clients typically begins with an initial intake session focused on understanding what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and your goals for treatment. This first phase is also about building trust, safety, and a shared understanding of how therapy can best support you. From there, we collaborate to identify goals and develop an approach tailored to your needs, values, and pace. Sessions may involve exploring thoughts, emotions, patterns, and relationships, while also building practical skills to support emotional regulation, communication, and coping. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), depending on what is most helpful for you. Throughout our work, we regularly check in about progress and adjust goals as needed. Therapy is a flexible process that evolves over time. My aim is to provide a supportive, structured space where you can gain insight, strengthen resilience, and develop tools that help you navigate challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
