Hello, I'm Sherri! Life can be challenging to navigate, especially right now in a world that often feels out of control and overwhelming. Have you been feeling overwhelmed or lost lately? Is it easy to feel stuck or powerless, isolated from others even when you are not totally alone? I can help you navigate through life's stressors, and together, we can work to empower you to manage the challenges life throws your way. I graduated in 2012 from The Ohio State University College of Social Work with my Master's degree in Social Work. I am currently a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LISW). Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including schools, communities, and residential treatment facilities. My experience spans working with children, teens, families, juvenile sex offenders, and adults. Additionally, I am a trained financial coach. As a Certified First Responder Counselor, I have a strong desire to work with first responders and their families. Growing up as the daughter of a firefighter/paramedic, I have a unique understanding of this population and the challenges they face. I primarily work with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, and life stressors. In my practice, I often utilize a solution-focused, 'person in the environment' modality, but I also incorporate various techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe the best type of treatment is the one that works best for you as an individual. My goal is to help you find hope and strength to take control of your life and shape it into what makes you happy and fulfilled. I can't wait to work with you!
