Mrs. Simona Stanila received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Literature and Languages from the University of Bucharest, Romania and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (MACL) from Argosy University, Schaumburg, Illinois. She is currently working towards her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at Argosy University, Chicago, Illinois. During her Practicum for her Master’s Degree, Mrs. Simona Stanila worked at the Streamwood Behavioral Health Center in Illinois as a part of the Advanced Crisis Therapy (ACT) unit. Other areas of training include school counseling, geriatric issues, family therapy and multicultural integration. Methods and Therapeutic Approaches: Solution-Focused Brief Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Social Learning, Humanistic-Phenomenological, Narrative Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Evidenced Based Therapeutic Activities, Art and Play Therapy. Personal: I am very passionate about working together with my clients to achieve their full potential while respecting individual core values, beliefs and cultural roots. While change and therapy may be scary concepts at first, I am dedicated to helping my clients in discovering their inner power and drive to accomplish life's personal and professional goals. I am always working from an integrative perspective, striving for the balance of mind, body and spirit. Some of my other psychological interests include the biological basis of human behavior and nutrition, neuropsychology, and addictions. My out-of-office time is centered around my two sons and family, and I often enjoy listening to music, dancing, swimming and biking.
