Snonita Marcus, LCSW

Psychotherapist
IL
Hi there. I'm Snonita, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I am here to support you through your journey. I have vast experience working with clients from ages 5 to 65 and specialize in multiple diagnoses. I use mindfulness techniques combined with a strengths-based approach to support you in your healing. I have experience working with parents, families, couples, and clients dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, relationship and family conflict, as well as self-esteem, school anxiety/refusal, and life transitions. Before deciding on theoretical approaches, I assess my clients and then choose the approach that will best meet your needs. If I try an approach and observe it's not beneficial in helping you meet your treatment goals, I find ways to alter it to ensure it is achievable or may decide to try another approach that may be more effective. I am a therapist who will try different ways to assist my clients and not limit myself or my clients to one specific clinical modality.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In my first session, you should expect a very approachable, friendly, and empathetic therapist. My goal is to provide a comfortable and safe environment to ensure your needs are met. Building a rapport and ensuring you are heard and supported is my number one priority. I will allow you to set the tone initially and as we build rapport, I strive to encourage you and support you as we begin our work together on your treatment goals. I am very receptive to your needs and try to set a calm and relaxing tone in my sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits
