My husband and I have one spoiled dog, Bo—a boxer-hound mix who brings lots of laughs to our home. I help people dealing with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, life transitions, chronic medical conditions, or those simply in need of a new perspective. I also incorporate Christian principles into my sessions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

To me, therapy is a conversation. I enjoy helping clients explore their feelings and offering a new perspective. I take time to gather background information, as it helps me develop a clear frame of reference. I believe humor is important—so sometimes, we share moments of laughter. Other times, your form of communication may come through tears. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable sharing both your successes and your struggles.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During your consult, we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and how the therapy process works. I’ll share my honest opinion about whether I’m the right person to help you, and I’ll also ask if you feel we’re a good fit. If we both agree, we’ll create a plan for our next appointment.
