Hi there, I'm Sonya! I am Sonya Belletti, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Coach who specializes in and is passionate about all things family. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from San José State University. I take a client-centered and humanistic approach to working with my clients. My goal is to have clients leave each session with value added to their lives so they are able to build fulfilling relationships. My approach While I often use a solution-focused modality in my therapy space, I am more focused on meeting my clients where they are. I am also trained in Gottman Methodology, Conscious Parenting, Perinatal Mental Health, Bringing Baby Home, 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work, and Parental Leave Transition. My focus I work with clients who find themselves at an impasse and struggling to get out of a rut in their personal lives, career, or relationships. I also support families who are entering parenthood for the first time as well as established families who are struggling to feel connected within their household. My communication style My communication style is warm and engaging. I prefer to connect with the human being in my space versus the symptoms they present with. My journey to therapy I have always been an empathetic helper and problem solver. After taking my first psychology course as an undergrad, there was no turning back for me. I am driven to do this work because I truly believe we were not created to suffer, and by helping clients connect with themselves with empathy and compassion, they are able to see and shape a world that is fully supportive of their heart’s desires. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative effort where I support my clients to also focus on the objectives needed to achieve their goals. My first session with you Clients should expect a warm space where we collaborate to find the tools to best support them in their desired outcomes.
