Getting to know Sonya Coy

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have been providing therapy for nearly 20 years. I am the owner of Dove Counseling Center in Marietta, GA, and provide individual therapy to adults. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety disorders and trauma. I like to hear clients' goals, what has worked in the past, and to just really listen and hear their heart. My approach I utilize Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), which is a technique that is used to help clients resolve the effects of trauma rapidly. Some clients have had challenges resolved in one session. Others have seen amazing results in three to six sessions. This process is painless, which helps clients eliminate the emotional pain without reliving the traumatic or stressful event. Clients are able to eliminate negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, which bring peace to the soul! My focus My ideal client is a someone that is ready to do the work, hear the truth, take accountability, and really, really ready for change. I had another business, was happy, but awakened one day and wondered what my purpose was. I went to jury duty, took a book, and the story was about a middle school boy who was troubled, went to talk to his School Counselor, but the word Counselor was in bold, and then I knew. My goals for you I help clients with goals by hearing what the barriers are and getting to the root of the barriers. Then we can focus on the goals with attainable realistice steps. My first session with you During the first session, I give clients some background about myself and give them an opportunity to ask questions about me. Discuss and answer questions about Rula. Clients can give me a good history, discuss their goals. Then they get homework :)
