Stacey Lawson, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Stacey! Starting therapy and meeting someone new can feel uncertain. I’m a bilingual English and Spanish-speaking therapist and daughter of immigrants. I offer adults a warm space to slow down, breathe, and understand what they’ve been carrying. My focus You may be used to being the one who keeps going, figures things out, or takes care of everyone else. Maybe lately you don’t quite feel like yourself. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, life transitions, difficult boundaries, and the pressure of caring for or being responsible for others. My approach Therapy with me is conversational. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about what’s happening now, where it may come from, and what you notice in your body. I blend CBT with mindfulness, nervous-system awareness, and nature-informed practices while honoring the relationships, culture, family, and environments that have shaped you. My communication style My communication style is warm, conversational, and curious. I listen closely and ask thoughtful questions. Some are practical, and some may make you stop and think. We will decide together what feels useful. You can show up as yourself. You do not need to perform or have everything figured out. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to social work because I have always been curious about how people, families, cultures, and environments shape us. As a bilingual daughter of immigrants and a first generation college graduate, I understand how identity and responsibility can shape our lives. That perspective continues to guide the therapist I am today. My goals for you We will decide together what you want to work toward and break it into realistic steps that fit your life. Along the way, we will check in about what is helping, notice patterns and progress, and adjust when needed. Goals are not about performing perfectly. They are about helping you feel more like yourself and create meaningful change.
