“From the beginning, I found Stacey very easy to talk to. I’m in early recovery from addiction and she’s been incredibly supportive and motivating, and having her to talk to weekly has been extremely beneficial to my mental health. I feel like I’ve grown so much in the aspect of mental health in the weeks that I’ve been seeing her. On top of that, my work schedule has been all over the place recently and she always makes sure that she can get me on her schedule. I truly can’t recommend her enough. I feel extremely lucky to have found her.”

Getting to know Stacey Rydell

Hi! I am Stacey Rydell, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about helping those on their healing journey find more meaning in life. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado. My approach Working with adults of all ages, I guide clients toward their inner knowing—something we are born with but often lose due to trauma, societal pressures, family dynamics, and more. I take a holistic, mindfulness-based approach to therapy. Together, we explore all aspects of your life impacting well-being—from physical and spiritual to mental and emotional. Incorporating mindfulness practices like breath work and meditation helps relieve anxiety and depression. My focus I primarily work with LGBTQ+ and women-identifying adults ages 18-40. Much of my experience involves treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, gender identity concerns, and disordered eating. My communication style I bring my authentic self to each session and strive to create a relaxed, open atmosphere. Creating a natural, comfortable environment is my top priority, helping clients feel safe to open up and process their internal world. My journey to mental healthcare In my early twenties, I struggled with an eating disorder and body image issues, which led me to seek therapy for the first time. This experience propelled my own healing journey, teaching me much about myself and life. It sparked a desire to help others facing similar challenges and inspired me to return to grad school to become a therapist. My goals for you Therapy is collaborative. In our first session, we’ll explore what you want to work on together. While I may offer ideas, you ultimately choose our focus. My first session with you I tend to ask more questions than usual in the first session to better understand your needs and goals.
