Ms. Stacy Albarran is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-CP), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina. Originally from New York, she earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work at the University of South Carolina. With over 30 years of experience, Ms. Albarran has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing mental health services in outpatient, school, home, and community settings. Her expertise includes trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, family conflict, parenting, relationship challenges, transition, and loss.
Ms. Albarran uses a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach and evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems theory, mindfulness, DBT skills, and EFT (Tapping) to help clients reach their goals. She creates a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore barriers to the life they desire. Understanding that change is difficult and seeking help can be the hardest step, she is a strong advocate committed to helping others embrace courage and resilience.
In 2017, Ms. Albarran retired from the State of South Carolina to spend more time with her teenage son and work from home. She continues to provide therapy, consultation, and supervision to therapists pursuing licensure in Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy. She believes in “practicing what you preach” and leading by example.
