Getting to know Stephanie Andrews

Relationships can be strained or become challenging for many reasons. Sometimes we all need help to find the best way forward in our relationship with ourselves, our peers, our colleagues, or our loved ones. Have your relational difficulties begun to negatively impact your life, leading to challenging emotions, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or other concerns? I love coming alongside individuals, couples, and families to collaboratively improve communication, understanding, boundaries, and overall relational health so that you can move toward the life and connections you hope for. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University and bring 12 years of specialized experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to address concerning or problematic sexual behaviors. Reaching out for help to discuss concerns about sexual behavior—whether for yourself, you and your partner, or your child—can feel scary and vulnerable. If you have concerns related to sexual behavior, you may also be experiencing confusion, anger, shame, isolation, anxiety, or depression that is impacting your day-to-day life. If this is you, I am committed to creating a non-judgmental space to explore your concerns and partnering with you to identify next steps and solutions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the initial session, you can expect to experience a safe environment to share freely about your primary concerns and hopes for change. After each follow up session, my goal is that you feel understood, supported and hopeful about your path towards progress. I believe that you know yourself best, so you can expect to leave session feeling empowered to better use what is already working in your life to make the changes you want. You can also expect to learn and practice grounding techniques, communication skills, self awareness, self compassion, and healthy boundaries to support your growth.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
